I throughly enjoy playing the ProV1x Yellow ball. However, through testing the ProV1x next to the ProV1, I find myself bouncing between the two on things I like. Ultimately, on approach and green side shots, I want and need a ball with maximum spin (x). I also love the “click” I get on a good chip shot and putt (x). But I really love to softness/feel on club contact, especially putting (V1).

Not sure if it can be done, but a ball with the most spin of any golf ball on short iron/approach shots and all wedge shots, coupled with as soft or even softer feel than a ProV1 would be the perfect ball for me. This of course in yellow and with the new enhanced alignment! Not sure if it should be call ProV1x Right Dash or ProV1vx. Just some ideas, #TeamTitleist

That's the ProV1. Short game, wedge and short iron spin has been shown to be nearly identical between the two models. The difference is in firmness and long game spin.

I'm always surprised by those who thinks the ProV1x spins a lot more. I've played both on a monitor and the wedge spin is nearly identical at least for me. Short game spin I focus on more than long game spin, and I like the softer feel of the ProV1. I think you cant wrong with either, just what you prefer.

I believe you have cracked the code in understanding that there will never be the one, perfect ball for everyone. We all have to do the same as you, to judge which attributes we need most in our ball performance and adjust to that ball. What might be a perfect ball for you will likely not work best for someone else. Thank goodness we have a broad scale of options within the Titleist line up.
