I try to stick with the ProV1x year-round, but in winter I use the ones that easily get lost in the leaves. I'd tell you what model they are, but I can't find them.

I know a lot of people recommend sticking to the same ball all year round, but I switched to the tour soft in winter. I don’t really know why, it probably made sense in my head, but didn’t really notice any difference, as greens/temp greens were so wet and soft any ball would have held a green

Stick with pro v's year round. Play the mint condition ones through scoring season. Save the slightly blemished ones for play through non scoring season.

If I didn’t use the X, I’d use the RCT. Because our courses are closed and I’m on simulators until Spring. The answer you need depends on how cold and/or wet your winter is. Down to 50 and 2 layers, your gamer is fine. Once it gets to 3 layers/2 bulky layers, it doesn’t much matter Your goal is to just get out of the house. You won’t play better with a softer ball but the stingers won’t hurt as much.

Being here in Florida, I tend to play the ProV1 all year. We don't drop cold enough where it would dramatically reduce performance.

Titleist recommends staying with the same ball the year round. Just adjusting to conditions with a different club. Hitting maybe one more, if that be the case. In all the years that I have played (began my habit in 1984 at the age of 38) I never switched golf balls. Like the feel and consistency of the same ball the year round. Prov1 rocks. Guess it is about choices and what you feel is right for you. =)

Up here in the north east of West Virginia it gets cold. I generally switch to a softer ball just for the feel. I don’t usually shoot for really low scores only because you can’t hold a green when they get frozen underneath.

I like to play year round so most of my winter play is aimed towards technique and ball flight. That being said I have lost some new Pro V1x balls to the leaves this fall also. Nothing more frustrating than hitting the fairway and losing a ball.

When greens are frozen in our area. We are not allowed to walk on them, until the sun defrost them. Sometimes two the three hour delays.

I normally switch to the Tour speed yellow. in the late fall early winter. I can see it a lot better and I don't mind if I lose them in the leaves.

I tend to use the ones I find throughout the year. Living in the North of Scotland and the cold weather I'd rather the scratched prov1 etc gets another scratch than the newer ones. Also any that have been scratched from playing during the year would be an idea as it gives a true game feel

I use the bright green Pro V1x balls in the winter because they are easier to spot on the brown turf and in the leaves.
