What is your favorite lower tier (ie non-ProV1) Titleist ball? I’ve been playing the DT Soft lately, but wonder what your experiences are with others!

Tour Speed (after the NXT Tour was dropped)

ProV1 is my favorite ball, but I’ve been pretty impressed with Tour Speed. You should check it out.

TruFeel, Velocity, Tour Soft, and Tour Speed each have different profiles for flight, feel, and price points. Under Balls you can look up their characteristics.
Never hurts to try a sleeve of another one that holds some appeal over your current ball.

Even AVX - Pro-V1 - Pro-V1x can be options for all golfers. Although for anyone that sacrifices too many balls to the Gods of Golf it may be a better investment to get lessons to improve dispersion pattern with ionomer balls before attempting to improve game with these balls. For a couple of years when starting at 59 I appreciated that the NXT (now Tour Soft) would be in the rough and not in the woods with a Pro-V. Switched to the X with the 2021 release.
  5. I was all about the Pro V1 and the V1X until I had a ball fitting and now, I only use the AVX.

Aside from the Titleist branded balls, I've used the cally Chrome Soft and it's nice, but I could feel a huge difference once I went back to Titleist.
  6. I personally like the Titleist Tour Soft golf ball. It offers great feel and spin around the greens, while providing good distance off the tee. It is also one of the lowest compression golf balls that Titleist makes.

Actually do not play anything but the Titleist premium golf balls, try a Prov1x or an AVX every now and then, but I stay true to the Prov1 the year round. Consistency in equipment and balls (Titleist) can only help maintain a steady game. Just me and at my age, why change.

If I didn't play Pro V1's, I would play the TruFeel ball. I played in an outing a couple of years ago where everyone got a sleeve of TruFeel's and was impressed with the ball. The current one must be even better.

Normally, I play ProV1x. During a trip to the Outer Banks last summer, I tried the Tour Speed for the first time. Combing unfamiliar surroundings with 30-35 mph gusts,I decided to leave the premium balls in the bag and try the Tour Speed. I was impressed with the quality, feel, sound and flight characteristics.

All in all, a good experience.

My preferred ball is the Pro V1x.
My preferred lower tier ball is the Pro V1x's that I find in the bushes or creek where I play. Never seem to run out!!!

I like the Velocity ball. Mostly for the smaller simpler alignment line. And it's great in the dew covered mornings were I cant even get a premium ball to check on the green.

Love the Tour Speed and Velocity. TruFeel is a fun ball too.

I used to play the Tour Distance 90's way back when, then I played the NXT Tour and Tour S almost exclusively with the NXT Distance sometimes. Now, if I don't play a Pro-V1, I'm playing the Tour Speed, the Tour Soft on occasion.
