I had ordered some new Pro V1s and other stuff through TGW for Christmas. So yesterday I was marking my new balls when I noticed that the sleeve that had the #3's in them contained two #3 and one ball marked with #21. Now the coincidence is that the number 21 is my street address and 21 was my son's number when he played sports (yes I'm playing lottery tickets today). But to continue, so I continued marking the remaining balls grabbed the sleeve with the #4's and there was only two balls in that sleeve. I guess I'll have to be a little more accurate with my shots as I now have one less ball to lose. I reached out to Customer Service but with the holiday haven't heard back yet. No big deal, it's not changing my opinion of Titleist, just wanted to advice them of a minor slip in the quality control line the day those balls were boxed.

Since you ordered them through a second source and not directly from Titleist, they were store inventory. I have heard stories of people getting home with a box only to find sleeves changed out for other brands. Since Titleist does not shrink wrap their golf ball boxes, always check the sleeves at the store before purchasing or order directly from Titleist. This does not sound like a Titleist Customer Service issue. Sounds like a TGW issue.

Contact customer service at TGW. I bet they will make good on your order, as long as you have your order number. .

I reached out to both companies. TGW advised that they were noting it in my order (whatever that means) and they thanked me for contacting them. I haven't received anything from Titleist. I wasn't expecting anything really from either outfit, just wanted to pass on what I thought was interesting little story (as I did here) and to let both know that there was a break in the supply chain somewhere. Personally I believe that it happened at the factory, where you have thousands of balls being boxed and shipped everyday whereas I believe TGW is strictly a warehouse facility and I don't see a crazed worker running around messing with balls. Either way it just doesn't matter, the gist of the story was the #21 ball and how it related to two important aspects of my life, my son and my home. Happy Golfing and if you happen to get an extra #4 ball...it's mine.
