  1. Hello, I am a college golfer and I am aware that my college gets discounts through Titleist and other big name brands. It is always a struggle buying golf balls and I was wondering if, as a college golfer, we get discounts on balls? Would be very helpful to know considering the prices of golf balls now a days.

    Best to ask your coach.

Other options would be XXX outs and logo overruns through various online sites. The XXX outs have minor blemishes that don’t affect performance but can’t be used in competition.

Don is right. Your golf coach should be able to answer these questions. We are just simple Titleist loyalists like yourself. =)
  4. By the way about this, I think every student should have a discount on sports, because these students bring profit to the college quite mayor; not long ago I did some research with the help of studydriver.com/.../ and I wrote about Should College Athletes Be Paid, and I understood that this actually would be something normal, because students make that college more popular, because in the USA this is quite developed and many students choose the college according to how it sticks to sports, so yes, it should. However, it is common for colleges and universities to have agreements with various companies to provide discounts on products or services to their students, including athletes. You may want to check with your college's athletic department or student services office to see if there are any such discounts available for golf balls or other golfing equipment. Additionally, you can also check with Titleist or other golf ball brands directly to see if they offer any special discounts or promotions for college athletes.

Although the topic is over a year old, reading the original and Barry’s response, I hope at even at D3 schools the team players get most or all of their balls supplied by the athletic departments. To Barry’s point.

In Chuck’s response, there are s no mention of clubs. I wonder if there are exceptions for top D1 school teams or only top ranked amateurs also in college.

The author did not state being a member of a college team. Just a player in college. If a question is not asked the answer is no. In this case, my answer would still be no.
