I was chosen to test the new AVX balls recently. I am 59 years old and a 15-16 handicap. I have a slower swing speed ( due to back and muscle issues). I played the ball last weekend and gained about 10 yards off the tee. Iron shots felt solid and trajectory was good. Wedge shots stopped on a dime! Around the green, some chips stopped too much. Putting (one of my weak areas) , the ball felt great. All around, to me, the ball is a winner. Thank you Titleist for the opportunity to help you with your research.

I believe the AVX is designed to reduce spin. Same feel as a ProV1(x) but different core. I could not feel a huge difference on the tee and approach shots, but chipping was massive. If you like, stick with it! Just don’t make too many changes at once!-
  3. Great to hear! Hoping I get an opportunity to test these out.
  4. I have been using Titleist Pro V1 PRACTICE balls for 5-7 years (purchased at Golf Galaxy). These are brand new Pro V1’s that have cosmetic flaws (usually paint or stamping). The integrity of the ball is unchanged. There is no information about this ball on ANY TITLEIST format. This is what I thought would be covered by “Team Titleist”. How about some info.
