How about 10 digits? Then we can use our phone numbers to return lost balls. :)

How about email address? Oh, we can do that now on custom balls. With respect. =)

I am with you…I have stopped posting as well as there tend to be comments poking fun instead of camaraderie between golfers and love of all things Titleist. It’s a shame, as etiquette was always synonymous with golf. Many of us spend money on equipment and suggest new ideas that we may want. Great research and development that is free for Titleist and connects us closer to the game we love. I’m getting off my soapbox now…but if you like the idea of multiple digits on your ball I’m sure you aren’t alone and should feel bad about suggesting it. Keep posting, and I’ll do the same! Ever in CT message me and we will throw a peg in the ground as fellow TTers!

Chuck and Dale are both respectful people. In their humble opinion they don’t see a need. If others agree with 4 digits, they can still comment. It was just a wry sense of humor.

For years I supported every comment about yellow/optic Pro-V’s. There were those that said they would not buy white Pro-V’s if Titleist offered an optic option That was harsh, I don’t get that opinion. And certainly harder to follow now that most vendors offer an optic choice.

I still voice that I would like the optic version to have a custom 2 digit option like the white balls. Now that I cone across more golfers with optic balls, 1-4 doesn’t offer a quick unique identification. If they offered 4 digits, as long as I can get 2, it won’t matter to me.

PRO V, please explain why you think having four numbers would add to the Titleist experience. You just threw the idea out there for discussion.

Sorry you took the comment the wrong way guys. You did throw it out for comments on an open forum. Great things do come out of ideas thrown on this site and you just never know. The custom alignments were born from comments from our fellow Titleist loyalists as well as additional logos. Personally something I would not use as a long time loyalist, I prefer a single number on my balls. I use to order custom balls with two numbers, but just go with a single #8, now. I am sure that the TT staff members reading these suggestions have to look at the value, how much of a demand would there be, as well as the cost of setting up for printing two additional numbers. With much respect to your comments.

Lighten up guys. meant no harm and the topic, while interesting, did go as an open forum post so expect to get differing views. If you wanted it just to go to Titleist employees, send via Customer Support. If you tour the ball plant you will see their equipment which stamps numbers on the balls. They would have to redesign the equipment to make room for the extra digit(s). Not sure the return on investment would be worth the cost to implement. They probably don't even currently make a positive ROI on the custom 0-99 balls but do it based on the demand. Also nice that personalized names and messages can be added on the side of the ball. I don't see this as a trend my any other ball manufacturer but if it was, then there might be a cost-benefit study to possibly go with the trend. Sorry if my business background approaches these questions from the perspective of how a company views suggestions but its second nature to me. Doesn't mean its a bad idea and without merit, just might not be implementable.

1-4 is usually my go to I have gone a little crazy at times and got the high number versions 5-8 but tbh seeing 1-4 is a familiar feeling and I like that.

If a lot of people get behind you on this and there actually is a lot of demand for bigger numbers you just never know.

No worries, I think you should be able to out whatever # you want on your ball! If the other guys are gonna put graphics all over the ball, no harm in a couple more digits. I dont think i would take part in it, but it would be a cool thing to offer. It could really be unique gift for some anniversaries or things of the such!

Titleist got the last laugh.

Golfballs.com offers many ways to personalize your golf ball but the don't offer 4digit numbering. Dale is a great guy, very knowledgable and fun to play with. I don't post much because I don't need a cut and paste answer to anything I have questions about !
