  1. So, this is my 5th year golfing and I have always just used whatever used or free golf balls I can find. I am starting to improve to the point that I actually notice when I hit a golf ball well or when I do not. The last two years I have hit cally and swoosh Mojo's very well. What would be a good Titleist ball to try?

All of them. Each ball has its own characteristics, as does each player. If you're at the point in your game where you think the type of ball can make a difference, then I suggest putting out the dough for a sleeve or a dozen of each and play 2 or 3 different balls in a round to see how they feel to you.

Titleist has a wonderful program that is a virtual ball fitting. I did one & recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their game through their golf ball. You can find it under fitting on the Titleist website

Depending on what you like in feel and spin it would be hard to say which one is best for you. I'd buy a sleeve of Trusoft, TourSoft & one of these (AVX, Pro V1 or 1Vx) and do an on course comparison to see which one feels & performs to your liking.

Titleist does do ball fittings in person but they still might be on hold in some places.

    Good Luck

Velocity is a good ball if you are more focused on distance. My person opinion... go for the recycled Pro Vs or AVX. A fitting can tell you what the best ball is for you, and to save some money you can go with the recycled.
  5. Don’t go recycled/refurbished, you really don’t know what you’re getting! Go Tour Soft or TruFeel and work up to AVX, see what works best. There won’t be much difference with driver but putting, chipping and pitching, you’ll notice a lot of difference-enjoy the research!

This picture is why I go recycled, not refurbished. I get mine from LGB, and the recycled balls are sold as they were found, but maybe cleaned up a little.

Hope you agree that the last ball you've found is not the next one you hit won't improve your game. Titleist has a online access from this site to schedule a virtual ball fitting with a Titleist rep. They can go over how you hit the ball and how do you lose balls. The online guide will work you from green to tee. Any ball you want to try, get a sleeve at a pro shop to compare to another, look for putting feel, chipping/pitching onto the green, iron shots, and finally off of driver. Whichever one gives you the confidence to score your best is the one.

I use the Pro-V1x. A lot of golfers that look like me (70+) use the TruFeel. Opposite choices and but we all had our personal reasons for our selection.

I'm committed to the Yellow TruFeel for the '21 season. My criteria has changed lately, 1st is that I need a Yellow ball although I hate to admit that. 2nd is that I lose too many balls in a round, either eyesight or swing inconsistencies. 3rd is that the difference in feel and spin around the greens is really negligible which brings me to 4th which is price. If money was no object, I'd love to play the Yellow ProV1's, but realistically that is more ball than my game needs at this point.
