  1. My wife and a couple of my friends play tour soft (I prefer pro v1) and they absolutely hate the new alignment marking that looks like a T. This was poorly thought out. I would offer it as an option, but not on all new balls.

So by saying "poorly thought out" are you suggesting Titleist just did it on a whim? You may not like it as everyone has their own tastes and its probably okay to say you don't care for it personally but it might be a bit harsh to suggest Titleist would just slap something on their golf balls and then throw them out to the retailers.

I don't use any alignment lines. I get so worked up lining up the ball that I forget to actually hit the putt!

With respect, I would recommend that you take one of your wife's golf balls and put a single line on the other side and see if that helps her predicament. She might like your recommendation. Or you could take the top of the T and make it look like an arrow. Small inconveniences but it could hopefully solve the issues. You could be their hero. until maybe sometime down the road, if enough folks complain about that marking, maybe it could get changed. In Titleist defense, the R&D is the best in the industry. I am old school and do not use alignment aides. Let use know how it works. Cheers.
  6. I think the T shape is great and easy to see compared to the line on the pro v1. It is a lot easier to see and use.

Never notice the alignment markings on a ball as I don't use them. I understand it may be distracting or difficult to use if you use one. But it's inline with what people prefer so I'm sure that's why it is there. But once again I don't use one.

I will say I don't like logos as they are large and can distract my eyes.

  9. I hadn't seen the alignment aid on this ball until I read your post. I would have to agree, it's not very easy on the eyes.

I really like the alignment aid, it isn't too big and distorted. It also gives you an idea of where you are lining up the putt. Titleist is always ahead of the curve!
