WOW, no idea about this ball but what a gem! Did you find this?

Maybe Alan can get the ball guys to answer. For some reason I have it in my mind that Titleist made liquid center balls in the 70's.

I admit, I have little knowledge of mid-20th century golf balls, so this one makes me very curious. Check out the virtually symmetrical dimple pattern. And the two jade-colored dots seem like machine-painted dimples, not personal Sharpie markings. (Sharpies likely didn't even exist when these were produced.) The color fill-in of each of the two dimples seems perfect. On the other hand, the ball seems a bit out of round. Could this ball be something from the 30s? Man, we've come a long way!

I noticed the dimple pattern also, but the lower case script is what has my attention. No idea when this ball was produced but would love to know.

From the looks of the ball, I'd say it is from the 1930's, possibly the 1940's. I recall reading something about balls with the dots on them in the early days of Titleist, prior to Helen Robinson originally wrote the script version.

Thank you for all the ideas and thoughts. I have collected several vintage Titleist golf balls over the years, but this is the only one I have seen that isn’t written in Titleist “script”. Any other thoughts on who I could contact would be great, thanks

According to the official history on the Titleist website the Titleist script logo was used right from the start of production.
