World Record for most rounds played in a year

    Yandy Methvien a member of the VGATour (veterans golf association) broke the world record for rounds of golf played in a year. He played 879 rounds and is striving for 911 rounds to help spread awareness for Veterans Suicide prevention and the memory of 9/11 for many of us veterans choosing to serve the military to fight against terrorism. I have no idea what brand of golf ball he uses or how many golf balls he used to achieve this feat of rounds played in a year. IMO if titleist is truly the number one ball in golf maybe they could throw this guy some free balls or something. I’m sure he spent a ton of money in golf balls to achieve this.

    Geez, and I thought my 198 rounds was a decent amount. I guess everything is relative. You go Yandy. Frankly, I have no idea how you still have working shoulders and elbows. Tendinitis and rotator cuff problems would have sidelined me long before 879 rounds in a year.

    We had a member of our Charleston Interclub Association play around 400 rounds and I thought that was something. As a disabled veteran, I applaud his accomplishment.
