Like Abby mentioned in the Gear thread, New England in Winter can sure make you long to be out on the course. In that spirit, I recently inventoried my stash to see where I stand for next season. I guess I'm okay, I came up with approximately 15 dozen V1's, 2 dozen NXT Tour S's, 2 dozen yellow TruSofts, and 5 dozen NXT Tour S Practice models. I think I'm all set for a while! Apparently I can host my own tournament! (I like to toss a V1 or two to my non-Titleist friends when were playing, "Here, try this". I can almost bet the next time we play, they'll be pulling a new sleeve of V1's out of their bag!) Anyone else have enough golf balls to survive a zombie invasion?

Not so much on my Titleist gamers but i do have a pile of junk balls in the garage. In the summer when i am walking the front nine every evening, i have a habit of finding lost balls as i walk the edge of the course. 4 or 5 a day starts to add up fast. I usually keep by Titleist stock at about 3 dozen.

    3 dozen 2017 Pro-V1 and 6 dozen amber AVX, and 1 dozen white AVX. 6 (ea) Pro-V1x 2015.
  4. Haha that's awesome! I have 10-11 dozen golf balls in my closet at home and every time I buy another dozen to try, my fiancee can't believe it! Glad I am not alone!

I have 6 dozen personalized ProVs, a dozen TruSoft (a gift) and a dozen and a half AVX sitting in my locker at the club, still in the box. I'm set for a couple weeks ;-)

Headed to FL next week. Gonna pick up another dozen AVX if I can find some in stock somewhere.

I've got five dozen plus new balls, spread among Pro V1's, Pro V1x's, and 3/4 dozen AVX. That does not include the six or seven dozen used Pro V1's and Pro V1x's I have stocked for use as needed, like practice on my own off a range or during a late day practice session on my home course. I also tend to give those out for use by any visitors who come and need golf balls when we play.

As a high school golf coach with a team that is not always "Top Notch" by Judge Smails' standards, I can say that I am more than ready for the Zombie Apocalypse. In my garage, much to my wife's chagrin, I have 4 Lowes 5 gallon buckets and 2 milk crates full of balls we use for practice and matches. I also have a 2 gallon bucket of just colored balls, as I have 2 kids that would rather play them. During the season, each varsity player gets a sleeve of NXT tours with our school logo on them for each match. It's interesting to see how they approach this....some use them right away, others hoard them for the season. The fun of junior golf with teenagers! Nothing I love more than giving a student-athlete a sleeve, he takes one out, and hits it directly into the woods! (Ugh!) The sacrifice to the golf gods to keep them happy!

    ScottyC50,
Nice Caddyshack reference! haha. I bet that can be a very very fun job for you! I wish I would have played in high school. ROTC took all of my time and I graduated early. I hope so bad that I have a kid who enjoys golf. I would love to live through it with them.

Our team is not that great, but we have built it into a nice program that teaches "soft skills" along with golf. 100% of our students get free breakfast and lunch, and 80% live below the poverty line. Contrast this with other schools in our league that grow up in a country club atmosphere, and you can see what we are up against. However, we play Titleist balls, hats, and bags, and will be one of the first Jordan Golf schools in our area. I am tell our players, "You may not remember what you shot, but you'll remember the fun and memories we make in four years." That's what it's all about for me. If I could somehow get one player to the state tournament in my career, I would be elated!

That's very nice of you to share your stash trying to convert others to the benefits of Titleist!

99% of the games I've played, my partner(s) and competitor(s) have been helpful, constructive, and supportive. Sure, there's competition, but a lot of folks have helped me on my way, it's nice to give back a little. It's a lot like when someone offers you a primo cigar, only with the Titleist, it a gift, or a habit, that can literally last a lifetime.
I was a little worried I'd need an intervention, I'm glad I'm not alone!

Hey Ralph C, I've worked at the same golf course for over 22 years. I probably have over a thousand balls in my garage. But my Titleist stash is down to about a few hundred. Spring's coming though, I should be able to add a few more. Love to give the balls to high school teams, the First Tee, etc...

  14. You have quite a stock! I have always wondered about this topic myself. I figured a lot of folks out there had quite a stash. They add up quick and I hate to get rid of new balls. I have at least a dozen of each Titleist model (only white no colors), as well as a dozen of each of the previous year Model's. I like to have them all for comparison and testing purposes, to see what changes create what outcomes. I also have 6 Dozen NXT Tour's (ball I most commonly use). I only have that many of them because they are no longer in production, and I was not sure if I would like the Tour Soft (I love it). Needless to say, there is quite a stack in my golf room. My wife does not understand, but she loves me anyway. haha I have bucket's of balls from when my uncle worked at the Maxfli plant, and buckets more from hunting on courses. A college nearby has a student run self funding driving range (they use all different balls and they get pretty ragged before they are replaced). I am thinking I will hit my buckets on the range as a donation and free session. haha.

My uncle recently did some work at a golf course, they gave him a wine box full of golf balls. Since he isn't a golfer he gave them to me so I'm good for a season. Luckily its a high end golf course so the balls are mostly good ones.

5 Dozen ProV1Xs on the shelf. A 5 gallon bucket full of various brand balls I find, keep and redistribute to friends and juniors as needed. Another bucket full of all colors of the rainbow balls.

Got 5 sleeves of ProV1x's left from last years stash, 2 sleeves of Folds of Honor ProV1x, and a sleeve from the last TT event, which will all be supplemented with the 4 for 3 Titleist event that comes each spring. Add a dozen that drop by on Father's Day, and I'll be flush for the season. I used to have buckets like Judge Smails caddie above Coach ScottyC50, but my wife wasn't as tolerating, so they end up with the junior program and the kids each year. Heard a rumor that Peter Rabbit put a hit out on that rodent who talks about shadows each year and spring or winter. I hope so.

I have 3.5 dozen Pro V1Xs ready for this season and will do the buy 3 get four promo when is comes so that should take care of me for this year.

I'm also a HS school coach and our players get 6 sleeves for the season. Of course some of them don't use them in our matches because they want to save them???
