I regularly play both balls. I play the NXT Tour S in the off season exclusively for obvious reasons in ky soft wet conditions plugged and leafs resulting in lost balls occasionally. So cost is minor issue but as for performance between them. I am able to put spin on either around the green with maybe 5 yards lost off the tee but ball flight, accuracy and feel I can play either ball with confidence that I can pull off whatever shot I need regardless of model. I will play the NXT Tour S in the summer while practicing or new course for the first time. But tourney time I play ProVX

I was thinking the NXT Tour was comparable to the ProV1x and the NXT Tour S was comparable to the ProV1. Agree/disagree?

you're correct Jim but the reason I go NXT Tour S in winter is softer feel it's 20-40 degrees here in the winter months

I agree, i also play the prov1x but i also like the nxt tour s. both great balls

I used to play the ProVx but switched to NXT Tour S because it available in yellow. As I get older, my eyes appreciate the bright yellow color. Its easier to see and more importantly, easier to find in the rough or the woods. My experience with switching was that there really wasn't all that much difference between the two. The NXT was maybe a little shorter. I didn't notice it with my drives but I did notice it with my irons. Maybe 3 yards shorter? Around the greens they were both pretty good. Final thought, NXT is cheaper, for those times when all you hear is a splash.

I've been using the NXT Tour S more and more this year rather than my usual Pro V1 and I can honestly hardly tell the difference. They are a fantastic ball in my opinion.

I too played the PRO V1 , but I was a tester last year for the DT Trusoft. Got hooked on them and switched in Jan. to them, got my 1st hole in one with it . How could I go back after that?

I'm a huge fan of the NXT's. Very good alternative to the ProV at an attractive price.

The flight patterns on woods and long irons are similar between the current Pro-V1 and the NXT-Tour-S. I've used the Pro-V1x for the last 2 releases and on occasion have used the NXT-Tour. I use some on my last round and at least off the tee, both worked well. It did come down to feel around the greens. The NXT just didn't hold the greens as well. With open access to a green, I can adjust for that, but over a bunker on a short side, pitching with both left me with longer putts with the NXT. Each will make a choice based on their game.

I played the ProV1x as well as the NXT Tour S options for many rounds, and have found that the NXT option consistently go further than the ProV1's. My drives go about 240. As far as the short game performance goes, they seem to be about the same for me. As an 11 hcp player I feel the added distance is a bigger plus. Perhaps the performance advantage is more useful to the scratch player.

I flick between the prov1 and the nxt tour s, I sometimes prefer the nxt tour s as it just seems to have a firmer feel off the tee, while still feeling soft going into the green, others might have different thoughts but that's how it feels to me

Just play the pro v its best ball out there

Hi Team, I had a recent discussion post about the ProV series vs NXT series. What Dwayne said earlier seems to make sense to me. I experienced very similar results although I assume that my novice status makes my results less thorough for analysis. I began the season using the NXT Tour, changed to the ProV1x and then switched between the NXT Tour S, ProV1x for the rest of the season. I found that the workablility of the ball was great on both and the feel as well. Disregarding price, what are the thoughts of the Team in terms of Tour S vs Tour and V1 vs V1x? I've done my research but I would like to hear from others what their experiences have been.

I thought typically the softer ball produces a lower ball flight, it may lose a little carry distance compared to the firmer ball.

Thanks Matt. As I progress and practice. I'll check out what the stats are on the monitors. Do you think that a flight tracking system will be able to tell the difference in the balls?
