I tested the new balls and found them shorter than the Velocity I regularly used. Like to know if they were the Trusofts now in the stores

Used a DT SOLO on 12/10/15 for my second career Hole-in-One. I find SOLO's do well on cooler days

Received 2 sleeves of balls in the mail from Titleist. One sleeve was marked with a Triangle the other with a Square. Played on 2/21/16, the weather was 64 degrees with 9 mph winds here in Eastern NC. The Triangle ball exploded off the face of the club and had a high boring trajectory. It wasn't bothered much by side spin and seemed to find the fairway even on less than perfect strikes. It felt good off the irons and seemed to match my yardages club for club. Hop and stop performance on bent grass greens. Felt good off the putter. If I had to guess, the ball was similar to a ProV1x. I hit last years ProV1x right next to it and got very similar results. The square ball had a noticeably lower trajectory off the driver but similar distance than the Triangle ball. Not much roll to be had on the fairways as we have had an extraordinary amount of rain. Same with the irons, lower trajectory. Putting and greenside spin was about the same for me. This part of the test was hard to compare due to the dormant bermuda grass and finding a good lie was tough. Overall I liked the Triangle ball better. It had an explosive boring trajectory even though distance gained was minimal. It inspired confidence on good strikes. The square marked ball may be a great candidate on windy, dry days when you may benefit from roll out.
