I completed the survey, but it never asked me to login with my username and password. I really enjoy being a part of the surveys and receiving these prototypes, so hopefully because it never asked me to login I won't be excluded from future tests?
Hunter PGilboa, NY
how exactly did you get your hands on the prototype? i would like to try them and cannont find a way to recieve them
BBShankapotimusFort Wayne, IN
They just showed up in my mail one day. I guess that I just got lucky and my name was selected.
Edward TWest Roxbury, MA
How do you get on to do the survey?
Micheal LStockbridge, GA
Having the same problem
Lefty MJBirmingham, AL
same here..completed the survey
Chris MHuntington, WV
A couple questions...
1. Are we going to be told what ball we were testing? and
2. I am having the same "issue" as all others, I completed the survey and didn't have to login to do it.
Jeremy YCorydon, IN
Me too...survey completed, but didn't have to login.

Thanks for all of the posts, questions and comments - they are greatly appreciated. Because there are some repeat questions above, I figured I would try to answer everything in this update. So here we go...
1) I can't find the survey links.
If your prototype golf balls had black numbers, please use the following link: http://survey.titleist.com/s3/TitleistPrototype1
If your prototype golf balls had red numbers, please use the following link: http://survey.titleist.com/s3/TitleistPrototype2
Please do not take the survey until after you've had a chance to test the golf balls.
2) The survey didn't ask me for my email address and didn't require me to log in.
There was a misprint in some of the instructions that accompanied the test golf balls that indicated you would need your username and password. This is not the case. The survey should be accessible without any log in requirements.
3) What golf ball am I testing?
The golf balls that were sent out as part of the product test panel were part of our ongoing golf ball R&D process and were just test golf balls. As you can imagine, we are constantly developing prototype golf balls and through the evaluation process we review the feedback we receive to continue along the R&D path.
4) How do I get selected? Or why wasn't I selected this time around?
We make every effort to include as many Team Titleist members as possible in these opportunities, but as you can imagine, we unfortunately are not able to include everyone in every test panel.
As for the selection process, all Team Titleist members are considered when we have opportunities like this but the final selection will vary depending on the test panel.
Also, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to these Team Titleist opportunities.
I hope this helps clear things up for everyone. Thanks again!

Thanks, Mike D.!
I had no problem accessing the website and completing the survey. Thanks for clearing up the TT member username and password misprint.

Thanks for update Mike D I always enjoy testing balls for Titleist

I was pretty surprised when I received the test balls in the mail. I tested the prototype (w/black number) and TBH, I didn't like it. I compared it to both the ProV1 and the ProV1x and IMO, the ball lacked feel. It also seemed a little shorter too. After several holes of comparison, I had enough and put the ball back in my bag (I still have all three of the test balls). My bud, who also plays the ProV1/ProV1x exclusively, wanted to test it as well. So, he tried it for a few holes. His assessment echoed mine. We both felt the ball was "numb" or "dead"--especially with woods and long irons. It didn't have that familiar "pop" that is associated with the ProV1 regardless whether it's the standard or x.
Nonetheless, I just wanted to thank Titleist for the opportunity to test and give feedback.
david jdixon, IL
I got the black numbered test balls and I loved them. Please tell me what they are so I can buy some. Great distance, held the green very well, great feel off the putter. Please send me another dozen to test! I'm down to my last one. Thanks so much!
Kirk POfallon, IL
Just my thoughts, I receiver the prototype 2 ball to test and contrary to Dennis T, I found the ball to be longer and spin less off the driver and had great characteristics in the air and on the greens. But most importantly to me, the cover durability was significantly better than previous models. I most certainly will be playing this new ball in the future if it becomes available. Thanks for the opportunity to test the new balls as well as give my feedback.
Norman BClarksville, TN
Thanks for the update on the survey Mike. I tested the red numbered balls and absolutely loved them.

I was very happy to be select for this project.Thank you team Titleist.Beta Testing Division
I don't know what balls Im playing but, I'm hitting this ball further. The prototype ball responds great during driving and my short game makes love to the reaction I get when chiping and pitching the ball. I played a ball to get a true reaction and I tried different shoots during actual paly. Only problem I have is where can I get more of these balls It releases well when I bump and run and response well when using a knock down shoot on windy day. My ball striking with my iron is a thing of beauty. It may not be the ball, but it sure help my game. Oh, incidently, my hole bag is Titleist. Im not a pro but I love my clubs and my clubs love these balls. Cannot Wait to hit that D913 driver with these balls. Now responding to the Instruction you sent with the test ball.
* The ball perform excellent with in 60 yards remind me of a prov. Tried my 52-8 and my 60-4 wedges great reaction
* They reponded well to my wedges had no problem getting the spin reaction I wanted with my AP2
*.Since, they're all marked the same I cannot say which ball spins well of the tee, but I had no problems getting back spin at 170 yard on a par 3 hole.
* I use Forge Irons only I jude the distance of a ball from 220 yards in. If , a ball reponse well when struck by a 3 iron at 220 and rolls at lease 10' to 15' away from the pin. I'm a happy golfer.
* I normally strike a ball from the tee box at least 300 plus but this ball rolled 30 extra yards 30' from the pen.
* the ball feel like any standard ball, but reponds like a prov1
* don't understand the last question, but the balls that were sent to me repond like prov's. you call send another 24 to go with the 3 you sent. Marking with different number will enable me to give a better test report.
* Again Thank you for picking me, for this Test ( Ernest Reaves)

Thank you for the help and the privilege of participating. Couldn't be more exciting to take these prototypes to the course with me!

I just received a nice white box in the mail today, containing red number test balls. Can't wait for an opportunity to get out and give them a good test. May have to play a second round one day this week to do so as Titleist recommended. I'll remember to check this post before submitting my comments on the prototype survey.
Joseph BLongwood, FL
Thanks for the opportunity, but I very seldom play where I can use two balls and evaluate the results. Most of my play is in competition with fellow members and it is not feasible to test as you request. I have been able to test against other balls on the chipping green but I don't know if that is enough. Because of the issues mentioned, I can't complete the survey satisfactorily.

Thank you for the explanation regarding the login. Loved the balls most off the tee. I definitely saw and extra ten yards sometimes more on each drive. I hope to have the opportunity again!
Love Titleist!!

Thanks for the update Mike.
I tried the balls out last weekend and loved them. Didnt have any problems with the survey.
Thanks again,

Thanks for the info- I had no trouble completing the survey. Red numbers. Ball seemed straighter off the tee than the 2012 V1x. Maybe a tad shorter in distance but dispersion rate was narrower. Overall a better fit for my game 60 Degrees here in Indiana in November! Global Warming is our friend. .
Rob SKennett Square, PA
I really liked the ball...extremely durable...I play about six holes and not a single mark, nick, scratch, etc.
And most importantly, I like the way it performed off the tee, irons, and around the green.
Many thanks!!!

Hi Michael,
That's correct, you do not need to log in for the survey. As for future test panels, all Team Titleist members are considered when we have opportunities like this but the final selection will vary depending on the test panel.
Thanks for helping us out this time around!

Hi. Thanks Mike. Can you please send me some test balls. I am a proud player of pro v1 balls. Would love to test the new ones.

Glad I scrolled down before asking about the log-in/TT. Feel very privileged to be apart of the survey and looks like there are a few other members who feel the same. Thanks for keeping us in mind TT, How about new TT Prototye hats? or Pro V 1x?

I completed the survey on the prototype 2 ball. Do you have a prototype staff bag I could test?
H. R. BValley Center, CA
I actually tested the prototype balls against 5 other balls to try to give a decent comparison. The survey only allowed one ball for comparison.. Do you want the other comparisons? If so, how do I accomplish??? hbartholomew@hotmail.com

I loved the balls too. Played on a cool wet day and the ball performed great, soft, great control and stopped on the dime.

Definitely want to chime in on the Proto Type testing. Really appreciated the opportunity to test the black ones. I normally p;ay Penta TP5, which I really like. These however matched the distance and workability (that hadn't been case for me with previous ProV1 or x). But the feel on these were, well to quote ESPN - butter. Just felt great everywhere. And my playing partners kept wanting these juiced golf balls. Hope to know what they were for sure (and if the next version released will be these.

Same issue, trying access site for survey, tried lower case, still cannot get to survey ?
tom vtaylor, MI
I had the same problem everything is lower case except the last part. /TitleistPrototype .The T and P have to be upper case
Justin MWaxhaw, NC
The golf balls felt just like the 2013 ProV1 that Methodist University uses for the range. Great golf ball and love getting sent these prototypes
Donald MBow, NH
I received your Prototype balls yesterday. Since I am New Hampshire, I will have to wait until next summer to try your balls. The problem is that I will comparing them to your Titleist IV. I have used Titleist balls for the past 50 years.

I could not get on the website to complete the suvey for whatever reason. I loved the prototype ball better than my Zstar. I thought the prototype ball had good distance , feel and spin.

I received a sleeve of Titleist pototype golf balls to evaluate. After playing with the ball I tried to go to the specified site to record my evaluation but I could not log onto the site to record my findings

Tryed accessing the website using your info - still unable to gain access and leave my test results.
I did recieve a sleeve of prototype ProV's (red number) to test. Went out late in the afternoon on our golf course and went through the various categories suggested in the testing, I used the proptotype and 2012 ProV1x to compare reuslts.
Found the proptype to have all the same characteristics of my current ball. After about a dozen shots with each ball at the various stations (drives, 150 yd, 60 yd and chipping) I could not see any stattistical diference between the two. Both were great performers
Todd SKenosha, WI
I had trouble entering the survey website. I tried the Prov1x test ball and thought it was very good. Compared it to a friend that I normally drive the same distance but he is longer with the irons. I was longer then normal all day so I would say I gained distance. The ball spins less off the driver and irons and short shots the spin it adequate. I feel like this ball is better then the previous prov1x. Good luck. Less spin mean straighter drives!!! Around the greens it played like a high end ball. It dropped dead a couple of shots. High rating for this ball.

Hi Joseph,
Here is a link to a thread where I posted a lot of answers to FAQs on the prototype test panel. It includes details on the survey links and some other info. Hope this helps. Thanks!

As a TT member, I too had trouble getting into the survey, to provide feedback; even after trying a sleeve of test balls provided. Overall, the test balls did not provide any improvement over the PROV1X I currently play. Just not sure what type of test balls I was provided.
