  1. I didn't really realize how different Grips have such different weights to them.

So, now I'm wondering if this weight difference could potentially make big changes to the Swing Weight of the club ?

For example, a standard Golf Pride MCC grip is 46.5g; Tour Velvet 49.5g; MCC Align 51g; MCC Plus4 52g.

I believe for every 2g added to the club head, that equates to 1 Swing Weight point. So, would same apply to grip weights ? For every 2g extra in grip weight, the Swing Weight would drop 1 point ?

For grips, it's closer to 5 grams per swingweight point.

It certainly impacts the static swing weight. IMHO it has less impact on the dynamic swing weight. The added weight is close to the fulcrum point (your wrists). Length and head weight are more important on weight changes at the end of the lever.
My objective for grips is the size and feel of the grip in my hands. Best to get that right.
