Titleist 910 D2 w/ Bassara 50 Hi shaft

    Hello,

          I was playing a TM 910 Super -Tri 10.5 with a custom OBAN Devotion 4, 45gm. shaft. Swing speeds about 93-96MPH. Unfortunately, thru not fault of my own the TM developed a crack in the head. I have recently picked up a Titleist 910 D2 10.5 with a Bassara 50 Hi shaft in regular. I haven't gotten a chance to play outside yet due to the winter we are going through in the NE. I was wondering how these shafts compare, or if I would benefit from having the OBAN shaft retro fitted to the 910 D2. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Titleist doesn't offer an adapter for retrofitting, although some non-authorized/authentic adapters are available from other outlets.  The adapters are not $5 items, so the retrofit is not insignificant. 

    You should try the Bassara first.  Both are listed as hi-launch/hi-spin shafts.  If you have the Bassara-W 50 by Titleist, Titleist kept it for 2013 and 2014 as they have a pro or 2 that use this shaft.  And it is paid for...  Even after the retrofitting, the Oban may not be ideal with a Titleist head or any different than the Bassara.  I didn't feel much difference between 50 and 60 g driver shafts, but I did with the 70 g shafts.  The 45 to 50 difference won't be as much of a difference as the weight differences of the heads.
