Ok if anybody is interested in doing a fitting at the the Oceanside facility let me tell you it is worth every penny.
I sent a email on Sunday Night 1/26/14 to Cathi here in the Team Titleist Blog and asked what the cost was and if there were any openings this week. She emailed back first thing Monday morning that the cost was $200 and that there were two openings, I picked the one for Tuesday at 1:00pm called Andy Dobson @ 1.888.262.7202 and made the appointment. (If getting a Dr.'s appointment was only this simple)
I arrived about 30 minutes early as they suggest and was met in the parking lot by a gentlemen who introduced himself as Dino and said that he would be doing my fitting. Dino proceeded to grab my full golf bag and carry it inside the facility (Sorry about the hernia). Once I was signed in he showed me the locker room where I could change my shoes. Upon exiting the locker room( Dino asked if I would like a tour of the facility. (Duh? Of course I would) Dino then showed me all around the facility explaining what was done in each part of the complex. Lets just say, I want a job here!!!
Once the tour was over Dino again grabbed my golf bag ( He is a gamer...lol) and led me to the practice facility where we would do the fitting. The fittings are done outside on what looks like a regular golf hole and is just part of this 30+ acre facility. Once there Dino had a few questions about what clubs I was playing, what ball I normally used, what my normal shot shape was with the driver and what my normal misses are.
Ok i'm not going to go into all of the details of the actual fitting buts lets just say that I wish I had done this before I bought my new 913 D3 8.5 loft as I was hoping to mainly get fitted for a new shaft for it. Well I just ordered a new 913 D3 in the 7.5 loft with the correct shaft and set up. In the long run doing the fitting first would have saved me more money that the $200 it cost.
After we were all done Dino once again loaded up my bag (He is a gluten for punishment) took me back inside and delivered it to my vehicle.
