I see tariffs have hit Canadians getting the latest Scotty Cameron imports. Makes me wonder how Titleist Canada is going to handle pre-ordered OilCan SM10s noticed no price changes on the website Still $380. Hopefully they imported them before they took effect.

Hey Todd... I too was curious and found the following statement on the Canadian Government Website... "These countermeasures are effective as of 12:01 a.m., March 13, 2025, and will remain in place until the U.S. eliminates its tariffs against Canadian steel and aluminum products. Canada's countermeasures do not apply to U.S. goods that are in transit to Canada on the day on which they come into force." So the way I read it is that if the shipping date is on or before March 12th then there would be no additional tariff applied.

Guess we will see. Potentially will be hit twice with most shafts and heads being produced overseas (potential tariff on the way into US?) and then assembled in US and shipped to Canada (Tariff on way into Canada?). Could get ugly if we don't get through this soon ......

A question for the TT staff... Given the Canadian Tariffs on U.S. products coming into Canada apply to items not already in transit by March 13th I understand that anything already here would be tariff free. When we order golf balls with special numbers or special customization through the Loyalty Rewarded program, those balls would likely not already be here and would be subject to the 25% tariff. Can we get clarity on this before placing any orders for special numbers ?

Order through a USA golf shop, have them hold, drive across and pick them up? I hope all this craziness is over soon.

Hey Dale... I know what you mean - we need an end to all of this. Unfortunately we have little control over how that happens.... As for scooting across the border, I am not sure if a 4 hour drive to get to the border, an hour or more sitting at the border to get across and an hour or more to get back then another 4 hour drive to get back home is worth the potential savings of $60. Pretty much uses up the whole $75 savings for the Loyalty Rewards :)

Guess it depends on how big your order is and how many sets you pick up for your buddies! :)
  8. My friend was buying a car before March 13, but because pick up date is after the tariffs have been put in place, she was going to be subject to the additional fees. She cancelled the order. I would think tariffs will apply unless you have the item in you hand already.
Agreed, hopefully this silliness ends soon, and we can get back to business as usual.

Good question (that's why I started this thread to try and get Titleist's take on it). I believe custom imprinting comes from ball plant 3, where as normal loyalty stock the last few years came from ball plant 4 in Taiwan, I would think since you are placing an order in Canada with a Canadian company they would have to build the tariff into the advertised price especially if it is shipped thru Canada But if it is shipped directly from ball plant 3, in the past I believe Titleist cleared it without any brokerage, I don't know how that would work now. Hopefully they are imprinting locally now.

Crazy times ahead! Hopefully we wont have to worry about this much longer...
