This past summer golf has seen a significant growth in the amount of play and number of rounds across the country. I am sure that this is primarily due to the fact that golf was the sport which easily lent itself to social distancing while being played outside. I know I felt comfortable at the course given the precautions taken at the pro shop, and for the very fact I was with people I trusted and outdoors. Now it is the season for moving indoors. I am one of those who will gladly do take out from a restaurant, but am not comfortable sitting indoors. As such, I am not comfortable going to an indoor golf facility at the present time. I was curious how others are managing that concern. Are you confident enough with the cleanliness protocols to go to an indoor range, or are you like me and will wait until you can be outside again ?

Outdoors only for me. Not too keen on indoor ranges or simulators. There are a few heated outdoor ranges near me if I need to hit balls.

I’m a little betwixt and between. I am beginning to feel a strong desire to be golfing or even just hitting balls at an indoor site. But, given the state of this virus I am going to fore go the indoor range. Cleanliness is an issue as well as how others seem to be ignoring the protocols for keeping themselves and others safe
  4. A couple of my buddies who normally go to Florida are playing indoor golf this year. A couple more started last year. Price is reasonable, and they have joined a league. I don't care for it. I played once last year. Had a lot of trouble hitting a fairway wood off the tee, and I never did figure out the putting. I am going to wait and play outdoors at Pine Knot if it warms up at all.

I’ll be playing indoors, I’m ok with where I play. Only 2 screens there and I only go with my son in-law. They do a full clean after every use. And yes the putting and chipping are challenging.

We had been considering putting in a golf sim for a few years now but life kept getting in the way. When COVID hit and the golf season was starting to be questionable back in Mar/Apr we decided to pull the trigger. Could not be happier with the decision - we play or hit golf balls most evenings.

So, indoor golf for us for sure, but we don't have to go too far!
