One crazy year

  1. Hello to all fellow Team Titleist members. I’ve been absent for some time now....this year has been one heck of a ride. We only managed a total of 12 games this season. First was the covid situation and extended shutdown for golf. Then my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We cared for him all summer as he declined and we lost our beloved father in August. Mom handled everything so well and we are looking after her. Then 3 weeks ago my husband had a stroke. We were lucky that he will have 100% recovery but it could have been so much worse. He assures me now that he’ll still be whooping my butt on the course next season....we’ll have to see about that won’t we?

So anyway, I’m glad to be back after a long absence. Courses are closed here now but I’m still anxious to get out come spring. I just got the sample ball sleeves in the mail and even picked up a new (to me) 19* hybrid so I’m dying to get out to play them. I hope everyone is well and healthy and setting up for a good holiday season.

Yes, I was watching the Milk Cartons for your picture, was wondering why we haven't seen a post from you, lol!

On a serious note, sorry for the loss of your father, I'm sure all the TT Members on this Board want to give you a hug and then with your husband's illness, a double hug!

Chin up Wendy, like you said... "anxious to get out come Spring". All the best!

Wendy... So sorry to hear about your dad... Glad to hear your hubby is facing a great recovery from his stroke. As you noted it has been quite the year. Nice to have you back on the forum.
I have little doubt that you will put up a challenge on the links next year against your husband. I also have little doubt that with all you have gone through this year, you will appreciate the game for what it is next season... An opportunity to enjoy some time on the links with family and friends :) God bless !
  4. Thanks guys. It’s nice to finally slow down a bit. I’ve got lots of catching up to do on here.

Wendy...I reiterate what has already been mentioned. Hopefully you and your husband will get back out on the links asap. Remember do not give him any strokes when you two tee it off next time. In the mean time practice whatever you can indoors, exercise, drills, etc. Have a Happy Holiday and joy for the remainder of the year!!

Wow, 2020 is a horrible year for all.

Sorry for your loss and I hope your husband has a speedy recovery. All the best to EVERYONE in 2021!!!!

Golf has a funny way of being there for people when they need it, reminding us of what's important and creating a safe space for those in need.
Golf will be better off Wendy when you strike the new test balls out in the open right down the fairway.
Best wishes for you and your family.
