I personally use the CP2 Jumbo grip from Golf Pride and moved to that originally because I had "golfers elbow" and someone told me that larger grips allowed one to use less grip pressure to hold the club. I have to admit that it worked. The larger grip eased the pain in my forearm and actually gave me better control of my club. I have to add that I have hands with long fingers which would dig into my palms when I used regular sized grips, but I did not know much about proper grip sizing. I see more and more players at our club choosing medium sized and jumbo grips. I was curious if this was a trend now across the golfing spectrum, or if this is just something that is happening locally because of word of mouth and players trying to emulate those that play better than them.
Did you change grips sizes recently ? How did you decide to make the change ?
Also - and this is a question for the fitters... Will switching from regular grips to mid size or jumbo affect the balance of the club in any significant way ? If so - what should those of us who did that do to follow up ?
