  1. Sometimes, you are on the golf course trying desperately for something good to happen and you have to remind yourself to enjoy the moment, and this is better than being in the office. Had one of those days today. Started out double, double, double. I don't ever remember making three doubles in a row to start a round, ever. After another double on 6, I am thinking holy cow we might not break 100 today. Things turned around from there, and I lipped out for a hole in one on the 9th hole, still made birdie and finished the front at 46. 43 on the back, and I was feeling pretty lucky to break 90. Still when you get to play golf on a regular basis life in pretty good.

Good way to turn around a game.

    Where do you usually play?
  3. Usually play Foxwood or Rebel Creek. I was playing Dundee on Sunday.

Coo-dos to the recap of your round, this is why I believe that golf is such a great game. What started out as a "challenge" for any golfer you managed to turn it around into a great round! Well done, and maybe next time there won't be any lip out for a HO1.
Hit em' long and straight and have fun!

I know that feeling, when nothing seems to be going right(left for me)then something just clicks and turn it around on the back nine.
I think it might be the golfing gods making sure I come back.

I had one of those rounds my last time out as well. Shot 100 when I usually shoot 80-85. I had way too many double bogeys or worse on the card. Can't even blame it on beer since I was the only one in the foursome not drinking. Just one of those days.

Alas - I think we have all experienced that at one point or another. I had the opposite today where I mad par on every hole on the front nine then made the turn and found myself 6 over after the first 5 holes. Managed to save the day and started making pars again to finish the round.
To add to that, the head of my 7 iron went flying off on one of the par threes ! Fortunately we did recover the club head but no one had any idea where the ball went. Better to find the club head than the ball anyway :)
Always something interesting when out on the links !
  8. Darius, in a situation like that who cares where the ball goes, as long as you found the head to your club. Have you been hitting other things besides golf balls with your 7 iron?
