It appears that Hole in one stories on the Team Titleist website are only accepted from US addresses??? It would not accept my postal code and Canadian address for the bag tag??

Anyway for my Canadian friends please find below my hole in one story...

Hole in one today... I'm so excited

Today was windy and wet at my home course, Royalwood... a day when you really have to ask yourself, "Do I really want to golf in this terrible weather?" My neighbour was coming home from her walk and noticed me heading toward my car with my golf clubs and remarked how awful the weather was and she was surprised I was going golfing. I told her that I wouldn't let a little rain keep me home and I do have my own cart to keep me relatively dry.

I am so glad that my regular playing partner decided to join me as we headed out for our round of golf this morning... we really were not sure if we would be able to complete 18 holes of golf because of the heavy wind and rain. It was tough playing but it also made me think about what type of shot I had to play and how much stronger a club I might require because of the gusts of wind.

When we arrived at the tee box on the 8th hole, a par 3 with a front pin, my GPS was indicating 109 yards to the front but I knew it would play much more like 130-135 yards because of the wind. I took out my trusty Titleist 910 27 degree hybrid, choked down about an inch on the grip, teed up my Titleist ProV 1 ball, and knew I would have to hit a lower trajectory shot against the wind to have any hope of getting close to the pin. What a pleasant surprise to see my ball land just short of the green roll up to the pin and disappear into the hole. My playing partner was even more excited than I was... he has played golf for almost 50 years and this was the first hole in one he had actually witnessed.

This was my 3rd hole in one at Royalwood, always with Titleist equipment and ProV1 balls. It has been a number of years since my last hole in one but this one I will treasure because this has been a year that I have had some serious health problems with many days where I have not been able to even complete 18 holes. Today I completed 18 holes and was able to score one of my best rounds so far this year.

Thanks to Titleist equipment I know how far to expect my shots to go and the predictability of Titleist Prov 1 balls has given me the opportunity to get one more hole in one. Hopefully better golf and lower scores are in my future. Another hole in one is questionable but we'll see what the future brings.... I'll keep trying. Have a great day... mine has been exceptional. Kris

    Hi Chris,
    First, congrats!!! Very cool!
Second, in the Team Titleist drop down menu a the top of the home page there is a link to "Hole-in-One". At the top of that page, there is then a button that invites you to "Share Your Story". Click on that and you can do so.

Congratulations on your Ace Kris !!!!

Obviously it pays to go out in any weather for one never knows how things can turn out. Here is hoping for more in the future, and perhaps even one for your friend.

    Kris -- Congratulations!!

What a wonderful story behind it too! I made my first "hole in one" last December so now I can finally say ... "welcome to the hole in one club!". :-).

You should get your new pewter bag tag from Team Titleist as a commemorative "memento" of the event. Darius V. had a great suggestion as to what he does with it -- namely engraving the details on the back of the medal! I thought that was fantastic so I have lined up to do the same!

I realize Chilliwack is a little bit of a drive from us Kris, but some of us are already talking about another TT/Foot Joy Canada Community outing in late summer. It would be fantastic if you and maybe your regular playing partner were able to join us!

You can reach me by email at:

Hope to hear from you and again, congratulations!!

    Hi Kris,

I just read my own posting - I realized that I accidentally deleted a small sentence in which I was attempting to welcome you to the Titleist Hole In One Club. I fret a little about my "grey moments" ...my apologies!

I realize that you have had 3 holes in one -- I assume that this is the first one that you posted to Team Titleist and should get the Hole In One bag tag!

Again - congratulations on your achievement!
