  1. Dear Titleist Canada,

I am curious why the price of the 716 cb's and mb's have increased over 400 dollars compared to the release of the 714's? I understand the Canadian dollar isn't doing well currently but even the miz product hasn't increased so drastically. Don't get me wrong you make a great product and I will probably still buy them, but I don't understand the justification of the price hike other than you know your dedicated fans will pay it. If that is the case then I am questioning my loyalty to a company that can charge more just to increase profits with no obvious gains to their customers?

    Sincerely

I was told back in November that the price of Vokey wedges was going to go up substantially due to the weak Canadian dollar. I guess that is also reflected in the price of irons as well. I'm not surprised... It takes more than 1.4 Canadian dollars to buy 1 American dollar. If the clubs cost close to $1,000, you could expect to pay at least $1,400 Canadian.

I'm with you. Couldn't justify the extra $400 so bought new set of discontinued 714cb's

I think you identified the reason why there is a price increase. The Canadian dollar has lost significant value, unfortunately it could get worse. The costs of goods in Canada will be going up. We will start to see this more in the coming months.

Taking in to account the exchange rate, I think the 716's are less in Canada right now than they are in the US.

I was looking to upgrade from my 710 AP1's to 716 AP2's but there's no way I can afford or justify $1500 for irons. If I have to wait for the dollar to get better I may never get new clubs.

I'm planning on getting fitted for two new wedges this spring so I hope the price doesn't jump too much. My irons are 712 AP1's so they will do me a couple more years yet.....I'm not a good enough player to justify a really expensive set of 716's. (as much as I'd LOVE a set!)

The price of Scotties have gone up too. Was looking to replace my putter this year but now I think I'll wait. I really do think it has to do with the dollar.

I was in Golftown recently, looking at all the gear. I was shocked when I saw the 716 AP2's on for 1599! One of the sales guys there told me it was entirely about our dollar being so low. I'm currently playing a beautiful set of 712 AP2's and it looks like I'll be staying with those for the season. I do hope our dollar eventually rebounds!
