After FINALLY getting my hands on a set of 712 MB's during the off-season to go with my 913 Driver, 3 Wood & Hybrid, I am a mere wedge set away from completing my Titleist bag for this summer. I am really interested in getting some Wedge Works Custom-Shop TVD "K-Grind" Vokeys. I have a small question about the bounce options.

I have been told the bounces on the "K-Grind" Wedges are fixed. That is not a problem at all, I was just curious about what bounce options they are fixed at because when I go through the purchasing process there is no option to select how much bounce you would like.

    1) Does this mean their is only 1 bounce option?

    2) If so what is that option? and

    3) Are ALL of the TVD Models set on a fixed bounce or can some of them be ordered with specific bounce options?

    Thanks!!

    GeeGee,

In regards to the WedgeWorks Limited TVD-K grind there will be only one bounce option on each loft.  This is consistent with the TVD-M grind as well.

Both wedges are cultivated through the work Bob Vokey has with his loyal wedge enthuasists on tour.  For example, the TVD-K grind was Bobs work with several players which include, Adam Scott, Jason Dufner and Ben Crane.  After getting their feedback, Bob created the grind and bounce that would work best with this wedge.

In regards to the TVD-K, please see below the bounce options

    TVD-K 56 - 12* Bounce

    TVD-K 58 - 10* Bounce

    TVD-K 60 - 10* Bounce

    Okay, further.

Are there ANY wedges that I can purchase off Wedge Works with the personalization options etc etc... That will have different bounce options? 10* of bounce for a 60* wedge is the exact opposite for what I'm looking for which is something under 6*.

Also, I would be looking for a Project X 6.5 shaft to be installed and the stiffest option available online during personalization is 6.0, I was told via Twitter from some people that I just write in my comments to put in a 6.5 and they will. Just looking for some closure on this option before I pull the trigger on a wedge set online, if they have the options I'm even looking for.

    Thanks

    Jordan,

Within the TVD series, we would only offer one bounce.  As mentioned, Bob worked with the best tour players in the world and this is the loft/bounce options he felt was best suited for most players.

Understanding not all will fit into them, we do also offer the 200 series which has a couple different bounce options all depending on the loft.  We currently have the following available in right hand

    46*06, 48*06, 50*08, 52*12, 54*10 (SOLD OUT), 56*10, 5614*, 58*08, 58*12, 60*06, 60*12.

In regards to the shaft, the 6.5 is something we can accommodate.

Please see the attached link for the current Vokey Wedge Works order form

We are working on updating it with the new TVD-K shortly.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately looks like I will have to go with SM4's if I can get my hands on some new ones somewhere. Especially if the only bounce option on a 60* is 10* for the TVD Models, not sure how you can hit a lob wedge with that much bounce, my divot would be 3 feet long & around the greens I would be a mess, tough to open up a 60* a hit a flop shot with THAT much bounce.

Sm2's are great but have box grooves which I believe are going to be illegal for amateurs as of 2014, and already illegal for professional events which is a possibility for me in the near future so that's a no go.

Sort of upset, had my eyes set on 3 custom TVD's with my college colours etc...

The 60* won't work out but I may get the 52 & 56 because those bounce options aren't THAT bad for me. But the 60 needs to be 4* of bounce or else its no good to me. I'll just have to get a different model 60*, probably just an SM4 then go through the whole personalization process that way.

    Thanks for all the help.

And thank you for the registration form, going to get my 52-56 ordered now and see what I can do to find a 60 with a bit less bounce. Loving the Team Titleist Forum so far, always get the information and help I need. Appreciate everything guys!!!

    Jordan,

Understanding the TVD's may not work for your game, you still have the opportunity to personalize your SM4's with your college colours.  Please be advised that the personalization is limited compared to the Vokey WedgeWorks exclusives but we can stamp up to 4 characters in 1 of 12 colours.  For pricing, I would have to direct you to a local authorized retailer.  For any SM4 personalization, please see the attached link.
