    Hi guys,

I simply wanted to know if you plan to update the shaft matrix anytime soon and if so, what kind of new option should we expect?

I've had great succes with my PX7A3 in my 910D3 but I'm kinda curious to try a lighter shaft that offers the same kind of performance (something that I have not find in the chart yet).

Also, will you offer a service that would allow us to send you a shaft so that you can install a tip on it?

I'm mainly looking at a Matrix 6M3 (would be perfect if it could be included in your next matrix!) because of it's lightweight, low launch and super low spin caracteristics. It would be a nice update to the HD6 that you currently offer ;)

    Thanks

    Math,

In regards to the matrix, our R&D department is constantly testing new shafts.

Through out the year, there maybe shafts added or eliminated from our matrix but for the most part our 2012 line up has been set.

To view the line up please visit us at the following website

Currently the Matrix 6M3 is not in our standard line up.  I will be sure to pass your request on though!

Unfortunately we do not offer the service to have a shaft sent in and a tip installed by our build team.

If you have any further questions regarding our shafts or shaft line up, please feel free to contact us at 1-877-928-8898 ext 2.

    Thanks for the answer Ryan.

Another easy one ;) : I've heard that the new PX Black is currently beeing test by Titleist as a potential option for 2012 (through True Temper's REP). Can you confirm that and if it is in fact coming, can you give an estimate date? I'm asking because this shaft would also fit the bill as a lighter 7A3 replacement. I can get my hands on a Black for less than the 300+$ retail because of the amateur/university championships I play in but I still face the same problem... no Sure fit tip!

Basically, if you plan on releasing it soon, I won't order it through True Temper but if it's not in Titleist's future, I'll order it right awayso that I can receive it in time for my upcoming training camp (which would also give me the necessary time to switch the tip that is currently on my second 7A3). It would be more expensive ordering it through you guys but at least I would have the peace of mind the installation.

As always, thanks for your help

    Mat,

    Fair question!

I have personally not heard if these will be added to the line up so I reached down to our build team.

Currently the shaft is not on our approved shaft list but as mentioned, we do constantly test shafts and the matrix will change from time to time.

When/If I hear anymore information regarding this particular shaft, the people at Team Titleist will be the first to know!

    Hi Ryan,

I've asked a question on Team Titleist USA (simply because an already existing topic peaked my interest) about some shafts that were not on your standard custom list but still availlable to order. Cathi from Team Titleist calls them "off menu" shafts. She was suppose to get back to me as to weither or not we had access to off menu shafts here in Canada but I got no news! She was suppose to transfer the question to you guys.

She also unfortunately confirmed that the new PX Black was not on your approved list (even the off menu one)...

Thanks for getting to me ASAP! I need to decide in the upcoming week which shaft to order so that I can get it in time for a training camp on the first of April!

    Bragg Creek,

Hey Math, just a suggestion. I was looking for a lighter weight, low launch, low spin shaft for my 910D3. I had a Mitsu 'ahina x-stiff 82g that I ordered with the driver. It was good, but it just didn't keep the ball down like I wanted. I found a new love with the ProLaunch Red x-stiff, tipp'd 1" With an 8.5* head, set at C1, I was getting 13-13.5* launch at less than 2100 RPM (as low as 1800 when I really flushed it) with an avg SS of 122.3 Needless to say, I'll be keeping this set-up for the forseeable future. That shaft is a beauty and can handle the load. I play the original blue x in my 3-wood, and I have to say, the PL Red doesn't feel anywhere near as boardy. It's got a nice feel to it.
