As you may have noticed, we've updated the look and feel of the site.  Your profile page is now more interactive and you'll notice badges appear below certain notable users names. For example, Team Titleist Staff, Club Concierge, Titleist Fitting Professionals etc.

There is one badge in particular that we'd like to call attention to...The Club Champion Badge.  If you've won your Club Championship recently, please let us know via this string and we'll add the badge to your profile.  From then on, anytime you post in the discussion forums your badge will appear under your name.

    Regards,

Better put that badge under Matt's name!  It took 5 try of trying but he finally did it this year!

Is there a golf pro badge?  Or a fitting works badge?  I need to join a club and win a club championship!

    Hi Mitch,

I've won my 5th consecutive club championship at the Montreal Country Club last September. Might deserve a badge also ;)

Also, regarding the fitting badges, I've worked many times with one of your recently promoted Tech Rep (Marc-André Davidson) because I work as a part-time associate/clubfitter (been more than 4 years now, gotta pay for the tournament season!!) at my local Golftown Saint-Hubert and was wondering if I am elligible for a different badge?

    Thanks!

    Math

    Hello Mathieu,

It's nice to hear from you!

We've added the Club Champion badge to your profile.  Congratulations on the 5th consecutive year winning! Is that a record at Montreal CC?

It is great to hear that you were lucky enough to spend some time with Marc-Andre in the field.  Those who have the certified fitter badge designation have completed and passed the Titleist Club Tech certification process.  Your local sales representative can provide you with the details on this should you want to participate.

    All the best,

Mitch D - Team Titleist Canada

    Thanks Mitch,

I did not go through the 101 years history of my golf club but winning a 6th consecutive club champ next year would be a first since  the 1950's!

I'll try to get in touch with MAD's replacment for the certification process and I'll get bacl to you. I know that thus far, we've received no news as to when we should expect him but it should be soon as next season slowly approches!

In 2003, (I don't want to embarass the Golf & CC, so witholding name) in it's inaugural year, we were all disappointed to find out that the Club C was cancelled for lack of participants although 20% of the membership signed up for it which is quite a good percentage IMHO. Well, we only had 100 members or so and you guessed it, that meant around just 20 guys. I suggested we go ahead with it anyways on the Labour Day Long Weekend playing three rounds, Men's and Ladies and organized an apres golf ceremony offsite (obviously) with prizes for flights, trophies and the hole nine yards. Everyone thought it was a great experience especially after being let down by the Club and we all really pitched in to make it a memorable event. It was for me, not only because I won, but because it was a true morale booster and put the smiles back on the member's faces. One of my lady golf students won the Ladies Club C that year as well, so I was quite proud. Now when people view the Club C plaque and ask about the inaugural year, the members are quick to point out the first year winners of the Club's Championship and tell the story to the onlookers. Left the club in 2005 and went to another nearby G&CC and won the club's Men's Senior Club Championship in 2010. I'm not expecting a 'Badge', just wanted to share!

Hello Mitch, I have only been fortunate to win B Flight and not the Championship Flight at my home course. However, I am proud of that fact that my partner and I are the two-time doubles match play champs. We are looking for the three-peat this year! does that count. Cheers, Matt.

  17. Mitch, great ideas on the Titleist badges....it really lets us know each members qualifications etc... Keep up the great work!

I was fortunate enough to win the Thompson Golf Club, Men"s Club Championship twice. The year my daughter and then the year my son was born.  At that time the RCGA had a Canadian Club Champions Tournament and I was fortunate enough to compete in Winnipeg.

    Mitch...

I have been very fortunate  to be a member of a course in Barrie (Vespra Hills GC) since it first opened in 2003. Although there are many golfers at our course that are without a doubt better than me, I have been fortunate to pull off a few victories. I have (in different years) won the Club Championship, and the Singles Match Play Championship. My partner and I have made it to the finals in the Team Match Play, but as yet can not crack that nut.

Most importantly - I simply love the course and the staff. Each day I show up to play or practice it is like going to my own piece of heaven !!!

    Hey Mitch

This may be a bit late but this past summer I won my clubs Jr. Club Championship as I am only 14 yrs old. I was wondering if that still counts or is it too late or what? If it still applies then I would love a badge put next to my name.

    Thanks,

    Nicholas
