The Players' Choice: What's in the Bag at the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic

After an exciting week of golf at TPC River Highlands, which marked the 100th victory this season for players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball on the worldwide professional golf tours, the PGA Tour has made its way to the Detroit Golf Club for the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic. One hundred-fifty-six players are competing in Detroit, MI, just two weeks after the U.S. Open.

#1 Ball
Titleist is once again the most popular golf ball choice among players at the Rocket Mortgage Classic,Graphic showing that Titleistis the overwhelming golf ball choice among players at the 2019 Memorial Tournamentwith 76% of players (119) in the 156-man field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, over nine times more than the nearest competitor with 13 players (8%) and more than all other competitor brand golf balls combined.

A Clean Sweep
Titleist is the most trusted equipment choice among players at the Rocket Mortgage in every single category.

For the 22nd time this season, continuing a trend of player trust and validation, Titleist is the #1 choice in the driver category at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with 48 Titleist models in play. Of those Titleist drivers, 42 were TS models (TS2 - 8 | TS3 - 30 | TS4 - 4).

Titleist is also the #1 choice among players in fairway metals (29), hybrids (25), utility irons (36), irons (44) and putters (55). Many players in the field have also elected to put the new T100's, 620 MB's and 620 CB's in the bag for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, including Patton Kizzire, Richy Werenski, Morgan Hoffmann, Sung-Jae Im, Michael Kim, Bud Cauley, Denny McCarthy, Peter Uihlein, Joey Garber, Ryan Blaum, and Matt Jones.

Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category with 219 Vokey models in play (the nearest competitor: 61).

In addition, 39 players this week are trusting one golf brand, Titleist, from tee-to-green, throughout the entire bag — a vote of confidence that speaks volumes about the performance, consistency and quality of Titleist equipment throughout every club category.

As we get ready for an exciting week of golf in Connecticut, let's take a look at the equipment that a few of these Titleist Brand Ambassadors will be relying on in Detroit.
