The big difference, according to Titleist, it going to be the trajectory. The AVX is designed to be a low flying ball, whereas the left dash flies higher. And, of course, the AVX feels a lot softer than the left dash.

A couple of observations. One, the AVX is the softest feeling ball of the four ball line-up. It is also the lowest spinning ball. Next is the ProV1 followed by the ProV1x Left Dash, and lastly the ProV1x being the firmest and highest spinning. Also, swing speed should not be your main focus on which ball works best for you. You could have a fast swing but an angle of attack that creates a low flight and need the height of a high spinning ball or just the opposite and need the lowest spinning ball. The on-line fitting tool is helpful but ideally get a fitting with TrackMan and hit wedges, irons, and driver. It's not uncommon for someone to give up a few yards in driver distance to get better feel and control around the greens. Find what works best for you as we are all different in what works best for us.

We can only offer conjecture. You can trial both Pro-V1 ( if you haven’t tried the ‘23 edition ) and the AVX. There is the rare availability of the dot Pro-V1.

The other option is to work with a fitter with a Trackman and see if swing or equipment tweaks can get you to an ideal state for your game

I think it’s going to be tough for us to provide any certainty as to what differences you might see. On robot testing AVX would be lower flying and potentially a little slower due to it being softer. However, as we are humans and not robots it’s tough to say what your experience would be. The best way to test is to take them out on a golf course and hit shots to see how the ball performs. Do you like the feel? Does it fly through the right window and does it provide the spin you are looking for/require to play your best?

I like a softer ball, so I play with the AVX. The Prov feels better off the driver, but off the irons and wedges, I prefer the feel of the AVX.

Some great info here, I'm curious about this as well. My driver swing speed is 110 and here in Newfoundland we generally play in pretty windy conditions. I've always been a Pro V1 guy but i'm thinking about giving the AVX a go to start the year given the lower trajectory.

You should also try a Pro-V1 x Left Dash at that club head speed ( assuming it is available in Canada). Average tour pro is around 115 and no one plays the AVX. The AVX is a great ball for us mere mortals in the 95 mph speed and lower. You might find it too soft of a feel.
